This shop is part of a chain of Royal Ground Coffee shops in the San Francisco Bay Area; including Nob Hill, Russian Hill and Pacific Heights. The decor in the Polk shop seemed to be quite un-corporate-like. Their website says:
Royal Ground Coffee is a local chain of non-corporate coffee shops in various convenient locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. All stores are individually owned and may have different offerings.
The shop had the usual Apple MacBook users plus an iPad mini user but there were three Lenovo ThinkPad users too, this was quite an unusual choice of manufacturer from my limited sampling of Bay Area caf!s. The café’s WiFi was pass code protected. Trailing power sockets were provided.
